The cloud, in a nutshell, is thousands of computers located at data centers across the country and the world. These data centers use more power than small countries and this demand is growing daily. Your photos, videos, memories and life are stored on computers at these data centers.

Cloudj is decentralized to prevent a single corporation from controlling too much of the cloud. Cloudj spreads this power across the entire internet community.

We believe a decentralized cloud is better for everyone and makes it more secure, reliable, and environmentally friendly.

Today data centers are controlled by a small number of large corporations like Facebook, Google, and Amazon. Amazon is not only the largest online retailers, but also one of the largest providers of "the cloud" known as Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Cloudj uses home computers to provide the same services that these data centers, servers, and host companies provide today. Decentralization takes the control from the large hubs and spreads it across the whole internet community.

Cloudj installation runs on your PC and talks to the Super-Cloud.

Your home computer is a node. Multiple nodes make Mini-Clouds that combine to make the Super-Cloud.
Mini-Clouds are made up of multiple nodes and are used by individuals and businesses similar to current cloud offerings.
The Cloudj Super-Cloud consists of Mini-Clouds and provides the same services as current cloud offerings.
Cloudj runs on home computers that provide their extra resources in exchange for payments. Cloudj gathers these resources and combines them to allow for a single virtual machine (VM) called a Mini- Cloud to run across multiple home computers or nodes. Nodes can be added and subtracted dynamically to the Mini-Cloud without causing interuptions to normal processing. Mini-Clouds are Hosts and can be configured to run any number of Guest VM's or processes as today's cloud.

Mini-Clouds are made up of home computers called nodes. We gather and combine nodes into Mini-Clouds on the Super-Cloud. Each Mini-Cloud uses at least two nodes, but nodes attach dynamically to meet the usage of cloud applications and to replace nodes that have fallen away due to network latency or simply because a user turned off their PC.

Each cloud offering is made up of at least two nodes that have been combined to host a single guest OS or Mini-Cloud. The Mini-Cloud delivers an industry-standard, high-end multiprocessor computer leveraging the power of multiple nodes. The Mini-Cloud spans across multiple node systems which connect and disconnect as the host nodes spin on and off due to user control and network latency. The Mini-Cloud (guest system) usage also determines the number of node connections.

Your photos, videos, memories and life are stored on computers at these data centers. Cloudj allows you to save the planet by being a part of the solution rather than a part of the problem.

Cloudj is an alternative to Bitcoin Mining. Replacing data centers with Cloudj running on Bitcoin mining operations will reduce the overall amount of resources being used today and be better for the planet.

We use our partner Xeum.io cryptocurrency that supports anything as a service (XaaS) to keep track of sharing and usage to credit and debit user accounts.

Security

At least two home computers, or nodes, are required to run a mini-cloud which means it will be split across at least two nodes making it much more secure than run on a single server.
